How Can S.W.C.R.E.D.A Help You?
Secure Loan
SWCREDA operates a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) that provides small loans directly to local small businesses that can’t access traditional bank credit. These funds help businesses with things like working capital, startup costs, equipment, inventory, leasehold improvements, etc. Typical loan features based on SWCREDA’s program materials include:
These funds can be used for working capital, inventory, machinery/equipment, startup costs, and more.
Loan amounts roughly $500 – $20,000 for eligible small enterprises.
Businesses must be located in Nye or Esmeralda Counties.
Loans are designed to help businesses that cannot obtain regular commercial credit on reasonable terms.
Loans support job creation or retention.
Facilitation
SWCREDA helps local businesses identify, prepare for, and connect with additional funding opportunities beyond our direct loan and grant programs. Through strong partnerships with state and regional organizations, we assist businesses in accessing a wider range of capital options.
We work closely with partners such as:
- Nevada Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
- Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED)
Our role is hands-on and practical. We help businesses with business planning, financing readiness, and application support, and guide them toward larger loan programs, microloans, and state or federal funding opportunities that best fit their needs.
Funding Support
SWCREDA can also assist small businesses by providing a Fundica report, which helps identify potential funding opportunities based on a business’s profile, location, and goals. This report gives business owners a clearer picture of available grants, loans, and incentive programs they may be eligible for.
We use the Fundica report as a planning tool to help businesses understand their options, strengthen their financial readiness, and take next steps toward securing the right type of funding.
